Authorities have been consulted

Pure catchy rock. The six songs that appear on the band’s debut EP stray away from formulas and sound distinctively different.
-- Love, Chicago

This Product is Fast becoming one of my favorite CDs. Great rock singing with smart lyrics and seductive music make this platter matter.
-- Roctober

The jousting guitars on tunes like "The Time We Killed" and "Xenophobia" make a satisfying clatter, like when you shake the shit out of a can of spray paint.
--J. Niimi, Chicago Reader

Together, they have a beautiful potential for disarray, for anger expressed in concise, deep strokes, for loud noise that you still want to hear even though it hurts.
--Joey Rubin

..."Nicer" is all super-charged syncopated blasts, with her voice sliding smoothly from melodic singing to piercing yelps against the Farfisa and stabbing guitar riffs. There's a vague hint of Fugazi in the guitars of "Don't Remember Law School," which intertwine to create delicious friction.
-- Patrick Conlan, Illinois Entertainer

"Great pictures. It recalls a day when men waited too long between haircuts and wore it well."
--Lisa Crystal Carver of Suckdog, Rollerderby, Drugs are Nice, etc.

   About Fast Product
By James Dunn, Fulcrum Press:

Fast Product isn't an easy band to describe. And it's futile to compare them to any other band past present or...... future. You just can't box them in like that. And what's the point.....what is "genre"? What is ......"music"? I mean I guess you could say they're Victor Borge meets Throbbing Gristle. Or Johnny Thunders meets Kin Korn Karn from the 8 bit Nintendo version of Pro Wrestling. Or, Wallace Shawn and Darby Crash sit down to lunch and order ball bearings and milk and their waiter is Laurie Anderson. Or, they're like an episode of Quantum Leap where you find out who Ziggy is and Ziggy is really Screaming Jay Hawkins.

Once I was walking in a park and I saw these birds splashing in the water and they turned and looked at me and I swear to god one of them said "Fast Product". The wind that day sounded like Samhain circa November Coming Fire (you know that one song Moribund? Like that.) and the sun shone down that day like Chip Davis of Manheim Streamroller. The crunch of the grass under my feet evoked a feeling of owning a rare 7-inch of the song "Fourteen Cheerleader Coldfront" where it's just Tobin Sprout playing the song on a squeeze box. The day after that felt kind of like Fast Product sounds.

Thanks for the kind comment. Sorry for the delay, but I've been putting the final touches on the debut record. It's up now on itunes and amazon (amiestreet, rhapsody, etc.) There are 2 sides: Sink and Fall. "Sink" is more pop and electronic; "Fall" is more punk and country. We appreciate all your support.
Have a happy MWU year

Oh yeah, definitely. We left little gaps in all of the songs where specific proper names would have normally gone so that we could plug in the individual names of our listeners. A daunting task, but sometimes the personal touch is so important.
