“They’re like a Rock-Reggae, Jazz-Funk Explosion!”
Emerging in the fall of 2005, fat20 was born in a damp basement on a warm night in San Pedro, CA. It was here that four individuals had gotten together for a spontaneous jam session that would result in some of the most explosive musical interactions of their lives. These were old friends getting together to blow off some steam, have some laughs, and search for the ultimate groove.The band explored the realms of improvisation and found some intense moments that kept them pushing each other forward. When the night was done, the boys knew that they had just walked into something special. In the spring of 2007, the band released “the Schwagg”. This 9 song demo features a variety of fresh grooves that keep the body moving and the smiles growing. Brighter days are ahead for this up and coming band from the good ole’ Southbay.
