No other band rocks like Fat Angel! Fat Angel is composed of five guys that are just all around great musicians. Founded by guitarist LT Verrastro and former bass player Pat Collins, the band expanded to a full power trio with the addition of Bruce Saar on drums. Two weeks after the band had first formed, came their first live appearance at the local North Pocono High School Variety Show. Playing an electifying rendition of "Sunshine of Your Love" by 60's power trio Cream, Fat Angel lit up the stage while also undergoing some early growing pains of first time performances.
Shortly after the Variety Show, Fat Angel played live again in the North Pocono Battle of the Bands with the debut of their first ever original, "I'll Catch You". Since then, the band has played for 2000+ people at Abbey Road on the River last June and LT rocked 6000+ with his solo of Jimi Hendrix's "Star-Spangled Banner" at the Wachovia arena this past fall. The band even placed fourth at the Scranton Cultural Center Battle of the Bands back on October 7th.
Since the original lineup, Pat Collins has gone his own way, but LT and Bruce held a strong structure for the band while gaining the rhythm guitar of Brian Reilly over the past summer. It was this lineup that won the fourth place at the battle of the bands. Brad Fenstermaker then replaced Pat Collins on the bass and the band expanded to its current size with the gain of Cody Taylor ..s and lead vocals. This lineup debuted at the most recent North Pocono Variety Show where they closed the show with the song "Peace of Mind" by Boston.
The Summer/Fall of 2008 had been a quite busy one for Fat Angel! A show at the Jefferson Township Building warmed up the summer. Fat Angel preformed a free concert for the North Pocono Relay for Life. Of course there was the occasional party, but it all built up to Abbey Road on the River at the Woodlands; here Fat Angel preformed three "Fab" sets throughout the day to over a thousand fans. Later, on November 2, Fat Angel won a 2nd place after a hard-rocking set for a competitive Battle of the Bands in Dickson City.
Fat Angel is not just a cover band. It works hard to bring classic rock music back in the form of their original songs. Currently the band has 7 originals and 1 semi-original with 3 songs in the works. Fat Angel plans to release a full feature original CD within a few months with the tentative title of "Shining Through the Shadows", although "Journey to Boston" was also being considered.

hey no problem! I remember back in the day when there was first talk of a band being made :D I'm glad to see it actually worked out. (hopefully im thinking of the right thing xD )
