the typical stuff like Nofx, Rise Against, Tokio Hotel, Millencolin and so on, the usual suspects... but hey what should we say? we have no influences and there wasn't any three chord riff before?
FAT BELLY are five guys from Hannover, Germany who started out in 2001 as a three piece. In 2003, guitarist Tobi joined and when singer Benny joined by end of 2005, they realized that is a line-up that could actually work. And work they did: in 2006 they have played over 50 shows (all booked by themselves, no less!) and have recorded and self-financed the pressing of their first EP "Live, Die, Laugh And Cry". The 500 copies of the EP were sold at their live shows directly to the fans and sold out in less than a year.
By the end of 2006, producer Jenzzz Gallmeyer (GIGANTOR, TERRY HOAX...) saw them live at a festival and asked them if they would like to work with him on a full-length album. The band agreed and worked with Jenzzz Gallmeyer all year long in 2007 (while still managing to play over 80 shows!) on their debut album.
In January 2008, FAT BELLY finally entered the studio in their hometown Hannover to record 18 songs with Jenzzz Gallmeyer. Recordings were finished by September 2008 and the album was mixed by Willi Dammeier and Nils Ruzicka in October 2008 (!). Finally, the album was being mastered at legendary Blasting Room Studios (DESCENDENTS, ALL) in Fort Collins/Colorado by Jason Livermore.

aus dem studio, mit neuen songs im gepäck. ab ende dezember wird es dann eine split mit alia, jan.tenner und planke geben. das ganze erscheint dann über lala-schallplatten.
als kleinen vorgeschmack haben wir euch den song "drachen steigen gehen" bei myspace hochgeladen.

Nach einem halbenjahr Pause meldet sich die Band Coepstone aus Hannover mit einer neuen Besetzung am Bass und am Gesag zurück. Am 13.11.2009 spielt Copestone, mit der Unterstüzung von Adieu Ok aus Straubing (Bayern) und Ripped Apart aus Hildesheim zusammen ins neue Glück.
