THIS IS ENOUGH! STOP HATING THE INNOCENT!
The scene is dying, not because of ticket prices, the economy, or people not going to shows, etc. It is dying from the prejudice against anyone that has a passion for underground music. I hate labels. I hate stupidity. I hate the fear of difference. Meaning, if you wear black t-shirts and/or have a passion for underground music, you must be a, criminal, drug addict and alcoholic. That is what Bill Goodson, the Mayor of Whitewright and the Whitewright Police Department think. I am sure there are some bad people in the music scene, but there are also bad people that go to Church only feel better about themselves. This type of Prejudice is the same reason we were kicked out of our last space in Lewisville (the space by The Pond Depot at 121 and Roundgrove)

It sucks that they are being crappy about letting you open a venue. This is the same mentality that makes music programs disappear in schools! The arts are a vital part of our free expression. I for one will miss Fat Daddy's. We played once there and had a great time. Hope we can all come together and make a change and not let them silence us and our right to express ourselves artistically!
FDSS doesn't belong in a small town anyway. What happened with the building on mill st? I put a flyer for you guys in my newspaper for the grand opening. I took a paper and taped it to the building but never heard anything from you.
Walrus was probably behind the police being gay in whitewright... He is the biggest dick they have... He used to wait for me to get off work and drive home all day, then he would follow me home to wait for me to make a mistake... The cops there are so corrupt it's not even funny... They try to make it so teens can't do anything there, we weren't even allowed outside after 10, i was 17 and they drove me home and woke up at parents and it was only 9:50 something when i walked in the door...
Kenny and Sarah, I'm sickened by the way you have been treated. I know first hand how the police treat the kids and those trying to give them something fun to do. We went through the same thing. They couldn't get us on noise, alcohol, under aged smoking, building codes (even though they threatened)or even loitering. So the Denton police went to my landlord and scared the crap out of her. She refused our rent and there is a long list of violations of our rights. As did the police department. The sacrifice I made for the venue has cost me everything, I know you have paid a great price also. We went in the country and they shut us down there too! Amazing! Try not to be discouraged, it's hard and I'm still not over it, but, I still believe there is a way to get this thing done. Why isn't SOMEONE with money, land and influence stepping up to the plate and helping, cuz some day they may wish their kid had something to do beside get into trouble! Love you guys! This week we started a fan club website for Kinky Friedman and began a campaign to Rock The Vote. So if you're really want to support Kinky during his run for Governor of Texas we want to support everything you have planned and booked by listing it within our network and creating a profile on Kinky's fan club website.
Already we're generating thousands of visitors a day, but this is just the beggining Kinky will once again become the media focus across the country he was during the last Governor's race. This will generate tremendous traffic to promote those who support the Kinkster and help us Rock The Vote giving supporters places to be and people to see.
