    ..Fat Digester are an award-winning musical collective that fuse fun and social comment in a blend of Jazz, Funk, and Hip Hop. An incredible live band, they have proved their worth on both the alternative festival circuit and at venues across the UK and abroad. From reggae sound-system toasters to avant-garde percussionists, this collective is made up of musicians that hail from many diverse musical fields. The act is dynamic, energetic and engaging, definitely not for the faint hearted! .. The band has released three independent singles to date. The first was 'Funky Situation', which received the coveted Number One spot on Radio Trent FM's Hot 50. 'Adios', which earned the band their first television appearance on ITV's Xposure alongside jazz legend Courtney Pine, who loved the band. Their 3rd was 'Trippin' Out', which featured on the BBC's Children In Need '06 and their latest EP: 'Bring it down', was released in Xmas '07. In May 2008, the band won 'best unsigned jazz act' at Cheltenham International Jazz Festival. The band has been supported by acts like Kill it Kid and have provided support for acts like Courtney Pine, The Apples, Furious 5 and Kurtis Blow, Fun Lovin' Criminals, Koop and Dreadzone. Their first Album is currently in production and should be ready by the end of 2010. .. Every record has been recorded, produced, manufactured, and distributed by the band. .. In the press, Fat Digester have been described as 'A strangely pacifist dancing utopia' (City Lights), 'The best thing to come out of Nottingham since Paper Lace' (Nottingham Evening Post), 'Pure Excitement' (Tony Dudley-Evans: Birmingham Jazz and Cheltenham Festivals), 'Impressively tight' (Craig Charles, BBC 6 Music) and 'Too funky for words' (Timeout). ..
