About FATE SHALL SPURN (New Songs up & DEMO out!)

Angefangen hat’s mit Morris (zuerst Schlagzeug) und Max (Gitarre), die im Januar 2006 mit 3 weiteren Jungs begannen, an der Schule Musik zu machen. Sehr schnell stellte sich jedoch heraus, dass sich aus dieser Besetzung nichts machen lies, so suchten sie sich an der eigenen Schule Drummer, Bassist und Sänger. Es kamen nun recht schnell Phil und Philipp in die Band, sowie für kurze Zeit Felix am Gesang, der später zum musikalischen Weiterkommen „entlassen“ wurde – Morris übernahm mit seiner Gitarre einfach das Mikro. So lies es sich gleich viel besser rocken.

Nachdem nun die Band gefunden war und einige Coversongs von Metallica bis Red Hot Chili Peppers einstudiert waren, musste ein Auftritt und ein Name her. „Nevercross“ trat kurzerhand in der 3 Wochen alten „neuen Besetzung“ an der Schulhocketse im Juli 2006 auf.

Jetzt konnten einige kleine Auftritte folgen und auch die ersten paar eigenen Stücke waren geschrieben, die schon mehr in Richtung Metal gingen. Sah nun auch alles ziemlich gut aus, bis wir uns dann im November von Phil trennen mussten und Jof ans Schlagzeug rückte.

Es folgte eine Zeit ohne Gigs, die wir nutzen wollten um weitere Songs zu schreiben. Erst wieder Mitte 2007 ging es mit den nächsten Shows weiter unter anderem bei Kultur Live, bis wir uns Anfang 2008 dazu entschieden mit unserem Stilwechsel zum Metalcore unseren neuen Namen „Fate Shall Spurn“ bekanntzugeben. Den ersten Auftritt unter neuem Namen und neuer Musik gab es dann bei School of Rock im Februar 2008.
