Drums-Larry DiTommaso is no stranger to the recording and performing world of jazz. Neither are he and "Father John" strangers. Their friendship and music experiences go back to highschool. Larry, as well as being a great drummer, is a published composer. A former member of the team of Dino and DiTommaso, their songs have been recorded by major artists; Jermaine Jackson, (platinum record, ASCAP award winning; "Do What You Do") Peabo Bryson, and George Benson. Larry's credits include writing for the motion picture and TV industry. Larry is also an excellent pianist, which gives him an extra edge with his musical and rhythmic feel for the drums. He recorded with "Father John" on his debut album "Live at the Painted Bride" and wrote "20th Century Sox" Larry's new 2009 release is "On the Right Track" with his old writing pal Ralph Dino.
Drums-Ron DiStefano was no stranger to the recording and performing world of jazz. Neither were he and “father John” strangers. Their friendship and musical experiences go back to childhood, with professional performances in their teen years. Ron was with the Mike Douglas TV Show for five years. Joe Williams, Tony Bennet, Michele Legrand, George Shearing, and Sarah Vaughn are a few of the famous artist who had used Ron’s tremendous talent as a percussionist. His credits extended to every medium in the music industry. His talent will be sorely missed as he passed away in 1997, while doing what he loved best, playing the drums. Discography: “My Shining Hour”: Larry McKenna Plays Harold Arlen,” 1995 and “Rare Breed,” Ella Csircsu, 1995-96.
Vocals-Ella Csircsu is considered a top talent in the Philadelphia area. A singer and arranger with a fantastic range both in her voice and material, is a familiar favorite. But more to the point inimitable style and stage presence which when added to her strong expressive voice, results in one of the most impressive and unique shows around. Ella is a graduate of the American Academy of Dramatic Arts, New York, and the Bryn Mawr Conservatory of Music. She has studied voice under Kathryn Barone, Mitzi Welch, and drama with Harry Mastrogeorge. Ella Csircsu produced “Rare Breed”, her first solo jazz album, arranged with “Father John” D’Amico, and featuring such exceptional musicians as Larry McKenna on sax and flute, Butch Reed on drums, Kenny Davis, on electric bass, Paul Klinefelter on acoustic bass, and “Father John” D’Amico on piano. And she performed on "Father John and His ladies" 1999 Lady Day International.
