...... .. Little Rock, Ark. - “These Days,” a brand new album from central Arkansas band Father Maple, has garnered attention for all the right reasons and then some. Available for purchase early May 2010 at shows, FM is also proud to announce tracks from “These Days” are being featured in an upcoming indie film entitled Moon Ring, currently in post-production. .. Father Maple’s soul-searching lyrics are drawn over wandering guitar lines and sealed with a rhythm section that pushes FM to the forefront of their genre. Although the band has been through a few incarnations of itself, each of its current and former members has added new tones and layers of musical depth and weight. Currently Father Maple consists of Michael Wallace [lead vocals and rhythm guitar], David Beuerman [bass], Stephen Neeper [lead guitar] and Evan Barr [drums/percussion]. .. With Dave and Evan coming from classical backgrounds [David is an accomplished violinist and Evan is the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra’s head percussionist], and with Michael and Stephen bringing their own solid musicianship to the table, the sound from all four members has coalesced into a vast and varied reservoir of talent. Pulling from a few of their strongest influences, such as The Beatles, Counting Crows, Ryan Adams, Wilco, U2, John Mayer, My Morning Jacket, Stevie Ray Vaughan and Led Zeppelin, Father Maple has truly created music that is rich, strong and that resonates with the listener. .. ..“Father Maple is one of those refreshing musical experiences that doesn’t come along every day,” said Ed Hamilton, local Little Rock music critic. “Elements of Blues, Pop and good old Rock & Roll combine to make a very fresh and original sound that is just downright infectious.”.. .. FM is booking shows everywhere - to hear them live, please contact the band at fathermaple@gmail.com. Father Maple is hoping for a quick return to the studio in early 2011, and has already begun playing tracks from the coming album at live shows. .. Father Maple is a four man independent band continuously pushing for a new and deep-rooted sound and feel.
