Laura James sings and shouts and writes all the words. She is also a disco diva on her nights off with the fabulous Bootie and The Ho Fish. Jonny Diver strums the guitar and uses a wow-wow pedal to make it go WAH!!! Pete G slaps one mean mother of a bass guitar. Check out The Mandibles and Soulercoaster to hear more of his work. Hey there - we're FattyBoomBasstic! We're a Bath based funky four piece writing our own funktastic saucy sexy rockin tunes as an antidote to all the navel-gazing angst ridden middle-of-the-road rock that is out there. Our songs are FUN and FUNKY as F*CK!
We've been at it since May 2006 and since had some great gigs and done a few recording sessions - despite having massive hangovers.
Our first CD - Superfunkysexotronic - was in the FOPP Top 10 unsigned artists chart - then FOPP promptly went bust...
In September 2008 we also released our 2nd album "Filthysomething".

JD is an experienced guitarist playing in lots of bands. He spends his time teaching people how to rock on the guitar and reading guitar 'comics'. He has played in all sorts of blues, funk, jazz, disco and rock bands in all scenarios. Basically getting bored shitless of playing in cover bands led him on to write his own music. Jonny likes to play his wah wah in bare feet
Laura is currently a singer in 2 disco covers bands, and has a passion for jazz singing coupled with some unadultarated raw talent which makes for one hot singer. Now she wants to explore the poetic side of her nature by writing some lyrics without TOO many cliches! She likes liquorice
The drum and bass section of the band starts with Pedro (Vote Pedro!) - undoubtedly the best bass player in FBB. Watch him at our next gig and you'll see a man on a misson to funk, bursting with energy. He can't burp, but we love him nevertheless
Mcfly is our hitman on the drums, whether it's a driving funk or stuck in a big phat mother fucker of a groove, he brings the whole band togther. But he sneezes too loudly
