Fatty Jones is destined for success. Since the release of his first solo project in 2003, titled “Paper Trails”’ he has created a stir within his local hip hop community. He has a genuine addiction to performing which has led to him standing out at any venue, and creating a strong and committed fan base.
He has performed at numerous small venues as well as opened for industry giants such as Swollen Members, Ice T, Naughty By Nature, RA The Rugged Man, and The Game to name a few. Large crowds and stages are not even a slight to Fatty, and are in fact the polar opposite and serve as a motivator to him. His belief that performances are an important part of an artist’s duty, is very apparent when attending his shows. Which is why he has solidified such a relationship with his fans.
In 2005, Fatty released his second album called “Preliminary Hearing”, and saw a rise in notoriety and popularity. This led to the release of his newest album “Motive” in 08, which he readily calls as his greatest achievement to date. With eighteen tracks and features from Juno award winners Swollen Members, as well as local artists Dj Nato, Draztik, Yak and Double D, and acclaimed producer Stress, it is quickly becoming a very sought after album and has received large attention locally and regionally. With regular spins on local 88.5 and the national “Plex” show on 89.3 Friday nights, Fatty Jones is creating a very definite buzz.
With some very ambitious ventures in the near future, Fatty Jones hopes to elevate himself in the music industry. his newest album boasts such hit songs as “We Don’t Wanna Die”, “These Days”, and “Livin On The Edge” feat. Swollen Members just to start. In combination with his relentless approach to his art and ability to renew and refresh himself continually, he is sure to become the success that he deserves. His hard work and perseverance will definitely allow Fatty Jones a long and visible career.
