Faux Sho

Bio:

Initially started as a collaboration between creative duo Georgia and Beak Wing, Faux Sho emerged onto the Los Angeles electronic dance scene in 2009. Established in conjunction with Bird Parts Music, the ASCAP publishing company officially launched by Beak in 2009, Faux Sho embodies the chill, urban, seductive material of the company’s eclectic yet commercial catalog. Their music is recommended for fans of such acts as Portishead, Depeche Mode, Everything But The Girl, and Massive Attack.

In support of their new record “EP A” released November 30, 2010, Faux Sho has launched a promotional internet campaign introducing themselves to the world and leaving listeners wanting more. The official video for their first single “Not Forgotten” debuted on Youtube in March 2010, and since has received praise and demand in both domestic, European, and Asian markets. The next single and official video, “Nothing Real” will be promoted to support the release of EP A.

Originally from Basel, Switzerland, Georgia relocated to Los Angeles in 2002 to attend Musician’s Institute. It was there she met and began working with Beak on various musical endeavors. Upon establishing Bird Parts Music, the two recruited fellow music school alumni Justin Lange on guitars and keyboards; Beak’s long-time music partner and production wizard Peter Avveduti onboard as co-producer and engineer; and Travis Carlton and Matt McJunkins sharing bass duties. All members of the group are active musicians with multiple creative efforts.

Faux Sho is currently performing at exclusive events around the Los Angeles area, with plans of European performances and a promotional campaign in 2011. Operating their own studio, the group maintains a consistent production schedule, writing and recording with a primary focus on publishing a diverse range of music in multiple languages. They are currently seeking any opportunities in licensing for film, television, and commercials.
