Favored Nations Acoustic presents Center Stage - a live two CD set from Grammy® nominated virtuoso guitarist Tommy Emmanuel.

Center Stage is a two CD set - originally recorded live over three nights in October of 2007 at the Sierra Nevada Brewery in Chico, California for the PBS television series "Sierra Center Stage."

Center Stage is a great mix of the new and the fan favorites from previous Favored Nations Acoustic releases like The Mystery and Endless Road. The CD features such songs as Emmanuel's "Beatles Medley", "Mombasa", "Initiation", "Morning Aire" and includes arrangements of popular traditional tunes "House of the Risin' Sun" and "Amazing Grace".

Introduced are four never-before recorded songs of Emmanuel's - "Ruby's Eyes", "The Jolly Swagman", “Lenny Bro'" and "Papa George" (inspired by George Harrison).

THE 2008 GUITAR PLAYER MAGAZINE READERS' CHOICE AWARDS
TOMMY EMMANUEL & PIERRE BENSUSAN RECOGNIZED AS THE BEST IN GUITAR PLAYER MAGAZINE

Results of Guitar Player's annual Readers' Choice Awards for 2008 have been posted on their website.

Favored Nations artists Tommy Emmanuel and Pierre Bensusan were recognized as being the best in their fields.

Also worth noting, Larry Carlton tied with Pat Metheny for BEST JAZZ GUITARIST. In 2001, Larry recorded the Favored Nations release "No Substitutions" with fellow guitarist Steve Lukather.

The awards will be featured in the May 2008 issue of Guitar Player.
