Born into a family of ministers in Dallas, Texas, Fernando Alvarez has been leading praise and worship for nearly 15 years. Working with various ministries, he has traveled throughout the United States and Latin America leading worship in churches, concerts and special events.
His new studio album entitled “King of Heaven” brings a fresh, invigorating new sound to the worship scene. Throughout this project he has developed a style of energetic praise and intimate worship songs that will find their way into the hearts of every worshipper. “I want my music to have a deep and lasting impact in the life of each listener, so I base my writing on the Word of God and then weave in my own experiences and revelation of that Word. God's Word is guaranteed to prosper in the purpose for which He sends it and using His word is the only way I know that each song will accomplish what He pleases, not simply what I want to say or create musically.”
Because of his worship pastor experience, Fernando is committed to creating an energetic atmosphere of love and community, and to developing worship leaders that love God and create new music for the Lord. Now he is traveling all over the world imparting, teaching, and raising worship leaders and teams.
“Looking back on my life, I can now see that God was weaving together all of my experiences, good and bad, to create the fabric of who I am today. I was stripped of all that I was to become the man that He created me to be – and that’s a process that is continually working itself out in my life, my ministry, and in my songs.”
