   About FAX ARCANA
Comprised of former members of Usurp Synapse, Rapider Than Horsepower and (long live) The Romance Morgue, Fax Arcana broke ground in late 2003 with a flurry of activity that culminated in the release of their debut MCD/12" entitled "The Ritual in Routine" (Alone Records).

2004 found the entire band relocating from the confines of Indianapolis, IN to the city that bleeds: Baltimore, MD. With new surroundings, a revised lineup, and enough drive to kill a clydesdale, expect much to come from this impossibly sultry yet sinister quartet.

FAX ARCANA's Friend Space (Top 7)
FAX ARCANA has 414 friends.

Sunday night we welcome back Birmingham natives, popular stoner rockers Brightblack Morning Light. Their hazy, atmospheric set puts a new spin on "jam band," so come catch their critically acclaimed set and zone out with us!

Opening for them will be tourmates White Lodge. You can buy your tickets now.

Sunday, April 22
Doors @ 8:00
Show @ 9:00

-----------------------------------------------

Thursday, April 26, Bottletree welcomes Mike Dillon's Go-Go Jungle for their first performance in Birmingham. This is our second jazz/funk performance of the year, so put on your dancing shoes like you did with Big Sam and bring your funky asses out here.

Mike Dillon is a vibraphonist who has worked as a percussionist for Les Claypool, Ani DiFranco, Polyphonic Spree, Galactic, and Garage a Trois, among esteemed others. He's fresh off tour with Galactic and is ready to show you a good time.

Opening for him will be the Chad Fisher Group, Birmingham favorites who have proven their ability to hold their own with any jazz/funk band around. We hope you'll come early to catch his set since oftentimes Birmingham fans find themselves having to wait until 12:00 or 1:00 a.m. at Marty's. Try 9:00 pm!

Catch your tickets now.

Thursday, April 26
Doors @ 8:00
Show @ 9:00

As always, we invite you to come early and have a bowl of our vegan chili--it's been voted Birmingham's favorite by The Birmingham News, and we think you'll love it!

Thanks for reading, and please repost if you get around to it.

CALLING ALL MATH-ROCK DWEEBS AND INDIE-ROCK NERDS...

This Tuesday, March 27, Bottletree will host Battles with Loney, Dear.

What this means is that if you are a nerdy math-rock dweeb (a.k.a. college student or twenty-something) who doesn't have a girlfriend but who will most certainly make a shitload of money one day, you should come out for the show to hear Battles (featuring John Stanier of Helmet and Ian Williams of Don Caballero) and meet some quirky-looking, onesie-wearing yet still somehow cute indie girl there for the opening band, Loney, Dear.

ATTN: Indie Queens and Grammar Snobs: Sweden's delicious SubPop signees Loney, Dear will be opening the show for Battles. Show me another band with a fucking COMMA in its name. That's right, you can't. Come out and hear this buzzed-about indie band and meet your future husband who might right now seem unattractive but who very possibly might be the next-after-the-next Bill Gates (aforementioned math-rock dweebs).

Battles / Loney, Dear
Tuesday, March 27
@ The Bottletree
Doors @ 8:00
Show @ 9:00
