About me:
The Name:- Fay-nights comes from:- fay (n) goddess of destiny (plus) nights (n) darkness, retire to sleep. A hyphen is used to join fay + nights, thus making one word. My Fay-nights is based on an old game played by children. As a child (1946) I was told - all disputes/disagreements must end before bedtime, two fingers on each hand were crossed and Fay-nights was called... A way for a youngster to make friends with their enemy (if the goddess of the night was called... All conflicts or differences would end at the beginning of a new day).
This is the principle of my book: FAY-NIGHTS a fantasy novel for young peolpe and all those that are young at heart. My Fay-nights has rules, which are the legacy of The Watcheye, formerly the ancient Eyehctaw.
The book: FAY-NIGHTS (ISBN 978 1 904 177098) champions peace and friendship.
Who I'd like to meet:
Give Fay-nights a chance.....
Why not read the book?
And tell me if you liked it!
Hated it!
Or found it just plain boring.
No comment could bother me - as I would simply call out, "Fay-nights."
I left school at the age of 15 years in 1958 and started work with no real qualifications. However, aged 23 with my husband I ran a business for 27 years. In short to cut a boring story, at 50 years of age I was unemployed and on the dole. I felt a useless failure. This was a dark time. To divert my mind I decided to teach myself how to write stories, where I could hide in a world of fiction. So, armed with a Charles Dickens Anthology and the Oxford Dictionary. I began. During the first years I had rejection after rejection. Then I had one poem published, namely: Do We? and several more followed and a real feature (Tribute to Carothers).
Now my world of fiction is a reality as 16 years on my first novel is in print. It is called... Fay-nights (ISBN 978 1 904 177098 - Published by Black Cat Books).
