About me:

I'm a generally cheerful girl from the Netherlands with great interests in art, writing, music, movies, photography and design. I spend most of my time drawing and writing my fantasy novel. I very recently graduated from my studies Communication & Multimedia Design at HAN University of Applied Sciences.

I was born 12 weeks early and due to that I now have a left sided spasm. This means I can't really use my left side of my body as well as I'd like to. Whenever I go out, I have to take my wheelchair because I can't walk long distances.

Does this get me down? No. In my free time I mostly take the time to write anything from a journal/blogger entry to a song or a story. It's my passion, and therefore I hope to one day make a carreer doing this. My other passion happens to be something that also tends to be called creative. I like to draw, both on paper and on my computer. Digital means are motivating, and quite difficult, even though some people suggest that is just cheating. I agree with them if they say that traditional drawing materials show more of a person's talent than digital ones.

I've been singing from a young age on, mostly to myself. Singing, however not my talent, I enjoy doing very much. Sadly, vocalcords are also muscles and therefore are effected by my spasm.

When I'm not singing, drawing, or writing, you can find me in front of the television or in the cinema to sooth my addiction: films. I am one of those people that sees films too many times, and spends loads of money on them. I assure you, you won't find a single illegal dvd in my collection.

I love to go to gigs. Music is so much better live and shared with the people that like the same thing. Gigs are always a somewhat unnerving experience for me. Being in a wheelchair puts it in a different perspective, but by the end of the night, it is always worth it. My favorite band to see live is The Fratellis.

I'm a very motivated person, perhaps because I have had to deal with things that other people might not have to and because of my handicap, I feel the need to prove myself. Even though I have a physical handicap, one that is visible from the moment people meet me, I still fancy being photographed. Strange? I don't think so.

In short? Motivated, not a quitter, artistic, creative, openminded, funloving.
