The Free Song Suite is officially released! The follow-up to the critically acclaimed Cartwheels Through the Cosmos, this new album clearly shows a different direction for the FVE and a sound that has been honed by playing together for over 4 years. Recorded as a suite with three 'rooms', the pieces weave in and out of each other and were recorded in real-time. Three pieces from the FreeSong Suite are up on the playlist and the Legendary and eminent guitarist Gary Lucas wrote the liner notes and mentions that the record is “hypnotic in its flow, every song in the three sections of the suite a masterpiece of compressed story-telling”. The FVE will celebrate the release on the first day of October at Roulette and on Sunday, October 4th at the Rotunda in Philadelphia.

It was a real pleasure to see you performing last night. Both you and Anders did the best show. We did okay. Had problems with the drums. The snare drum head broke. That was a drag but I'll make sure not to buy that brand maker's for drum heads. Remo makes the best and they don't break unless one is using excessive force.
Well, President Obama is now our new president. It is a relief to have him in office. I feel like a heavy weight has been taken off our collective shoulders & back.
Hope to see you perform again in the future. I know that'll happen so, no worries. I'm still watching the inauguration activities in Washington DC. President Obama and First Lady Obama just got out of the car and they're walking down the street much to the delight of the crowd and onlookers. They're going nuts! Speak to you soon.
