A lot of the activities we're in charge of tend to wear us out. We need our fun to you know. That's why after big events we throw partys such as BBQ's and VIP lock-ins. If you EVER get invited to one of our TALC lock-ins you better go cause they ROCK!!!

Our group as a whole listens to a variety of music. I myself tend to play alot of rock and techno. We also listen to rap and whatever else you can think of because we are cool like that yo yo yo

The library shows movies every Thursday. TALC members help support most of these but we are not always there. We also have our anime club that rocks socks "Yeah I've attended but anime is addictive"

Every summer we volunteer for the library's Summer Reading Program. I have attended this event every year that the TALC group has been alive lol. Its long and hard for the TALC members but its a fun thing to join if you have nothing else to do. AND the library throws us a party when it's over!! They ROCK!

Hey everyone! Whats up? This is Brittney, the official Chair Person for the TALC group...also known as the Teen Advisory Library Committee. Our group is constructed of Teens from our local area that wish to help support our wonderful Library :D YEY!! We hold events like carwashes, Movie premieres, lock in's, ect. These events help raise money for the library and help keep teens busy year round!

Just this past year we helped out at The Kansas Sampler Festival, The Reading Carousel and many other library and public events that have happened! We were also in the Beef Empire Days Parade! We will reach out!

Just wanted to drop in on a rainy day and say hi to you all. I hope everything is great with you. We are excited, D.B. Pacini's youth/YA fantasy novel, THE LOOSE END OF THE RAINBOW, is being published in one week. Actually, she’s so excited that she is driving me a little nuts. She is donating some books and 10% of the proceeds to a charitable organization that helps Native American youth.

I also wanted to tell you about our free Starry Night Creative Artists Community. We started it last summer and it is growing like a weed, becoming international. To all the TALC members "Thank You!"
I counted about 450 people at the Rodeo Clown Storytime and 300 last week at the Beef Empire Day Storytime. I could not of done everything without you guys helping. You are an awesome teen group so keep up the good work.

Summer Reading begins on Monday so get ready for 6 weeks of crazy life at the library.
