About me:
The Foster Care to College Mentoring Program (FCTC) is the result of a state-wide effort to increase the number of foster care youth who complete high school and continue on to university, college, or vocational school. Studies show that the success rates of youth and their educational achievements are dramatically increased when they are aligned with an adult who helps them pursue, persist, and achieve in the educational arena. This division of FCTC works with youth and Mentors in Washington state, District 6. This Includes Clark, Cowlitz, Wahkiakum, Lewis, Pacific, Grays Harbor, Thurston, Mason, Jefferson and Clallam counties.

Who I'd like to meet:
Motivational and Resourceful adults (21+, with some post-secondary education) to mentor/ coach foster care students (ages 16-21) to reach their academic goals.
If you are currently or have been in foster care (CHINS and voluntary placement included), and are between the ages of 16-21 and interested in our program, please contact your Independent Living or DSHS case manager, OR contact us directly.
