The first stirs of F.E.R.L. were wisping through the coal-laden air of Harlan County, Kentucky long before you were born; back when Pluto was still a planet; back when Ross Perot kept running for office; during the reign of the Goat Girls, when Roger Sizemore sported a bumper sticker on his purple VW Beetle that said "Fartafignewton." (He really did.)
Roger and Jason had been playing together for some 13 years. Their music was innovative; it was "smart." But it lacked something: lyrics. A voice. Or, in the immortal words of the Illustrius Andrew Judd, "the rodeo cowgirl who reins those two wild bucking dipshits in." By some lucky twist of Tao, that cowgirl found her way to the bucking dipshits in the form of Ginger Pennington, and thus was born Fearful Endeavor in Restraint Land.
F.E.R.L. is currently FINISHED WITH the material for their first album, tentatively entitled Kittens+Sauce=Salad, which will be released in the coming months.
They liked it. One of my friends especially likes the cover of Dammit. As do I but you know...it means more coming from a stranger. Don't ask.
Speaking of strangers, what's this I hear about my cousin being a potential stranger picked to live together with other strangers and have their lives taped to see what happens... okay you get the point... that was getting old anyway.
"Give them instruments, they forge a blade and where there's one they are bound to divide it right in two. Give them instruments, they make a club and beat their brother down. How they survive so misguided is a mystery.
The video kicks major ass. I added it to my profile and posted a bulliten to let my friends know about it. Also when you all make it big and your going to you have to come and do a show in Pittsburgh.
