Hello. Febria is a harmonious rock n' roll quintet, washed up from the green banks of the Usk. Please do have a listen to our songs and let us know your thoughts. Also, if you enjoy stories, ours is as followed..

"Febria started playing together in their final year of secondary school as a four-piece, first performing soppy ballads at their sixth form summer ball, under the joke name ‘It’s A lot like Belgium’. After hiding away for a few months writing their own material, the band re-emerged at a local outdoor music festival in the town of Abergavenny. This time hamming it up under the name ‘The Mona Lisa Overdrive’ they delivered an impromptu performance to a large sunshine-seeking crowd. The material proved to be quite a hit, and fuelled the four of them to up the musical ante.

In the autumn of the following year, while working around university schedules, the band, now operating as ‘Febria’, made a number of demo recordings at White Oak Studios in Crickhowell, before, many months later, finally recording their first EP at Blossom Studios in the summer of 2005. Recording proved very successful indeed, prompting foolhardy critics and febriites on the fringes to say it was the best material they had heard from the band yet.

After a year of more strumming, writing and gigging, Febria returned to Blossom Studios in the summer of ’06 to record a new set of songs. Along the way, fifth member Michael was thrown into the mix, greatly improving the overall dynamic and live experience. Following this, gigs abounded, most notably in Newport’s Le Pub, where the band have pulled some of their biggest crowds and delivered some of their finest performances.

Following a successful tour which saw them gallavanting up and down the country, the band are lined up to play new venues, under the auspices of a few friendly promoters, and are due to record their third EP this summer at giant Wafer Studios." Exciting times ahead indeed..

Huw Stephens (BBC Radio 1)

CONVOI EXCEPTIONNEL
[Minimalist / Rock / Hip Hop]
"Convoi Exceptionnel are a Welsh rock and hiphop duo from the mean streets of Aberystwyth.

DRAW ME STORIES
[Alternative / Folk Rock / Indie]
"A dark and raw yet perfectly polished and professional performance that will surely lead to bigger things...No doubt helped along by the fact lead singer Carl Hodgetts has the kind of Ian Curtis/ Paul Banks voice that makes girls go weak at knees!"

VALLEY LINES
[Electronica / Dub / Psychedelic]
"Valley Lines is the main musical project of Cardiff based electronic producer and sound artist Christian Gates, his musical output shifts from simplistic electro to densely layered electronica, often incorporating sound recordings from the natural environment with complex beats and synthesised noise"

...plus DJ's for a good old dance!

Get the weekend started early ;~)
