He likes to refer to his music as being mainly Crossover Contemporary Instrumental. It mixes many different genres of music such as Classical,Jazz, New Age, Dance, Haitian Folk and Konpa, and many other World influences to create a unique emotional experience . It is also an intentional blend of electronic and acoustic instruments used to convey emotions and feelings to the listener. That is why the music touches hearts and souls of people of all ages, cultures, and diverse musical backgrounds.
THE STORY:
It is every composers' dream to have a band to bring their music to life. F.E.D AND FRIENDS is the realization of that dream for Composer and Pianist Frantz Eddy Daniel. The band started as a group of young musicians and friends that he studied together with at the school of music École Sainte-Trinité, in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. They have notably performed with the Orchestre Philharmonique Sainte-Trinité (Holy Trinity Philharmonic Orchestra) the most prestigious orchestra in Haiti. In the following years, it grew to become a full size string orchestra plus band. The members of the group now live mainly across Canada and the United States. The group performs seasonally and its making can vary from one performance to another depending on the size and the location of the event. It can go from a Quintet to a full orchestra plus band. The musicians of F.E.D. AND FRIENDS are highly successful professionals in their individual careers and they come together to form this all star band that has been wowing audiences. Although they are classically trained their music expresses influences from Classical, Latin, Pop, Rock, Jazz, Electronica, New Age, World, Haitian Folk and Compas Music; that is why their music touches hearts and souls of people of all ages, cultures, and diverse musical backgrounds. Some of the band's performances include F.E.D AND FRIENDS live in Florida, Night of a Thousand Stars in Kentucky. F.E.D AND FRIENDS recently won two gold medals at the 2006 World Championships Of Performing Arts in Hollywood, California. On December 20th 2006 Frantz Eddy was awarded THE 2006 INTERNATIONAL MUSIC AWARD in the BEST COMPOSITION category for his piece "Reflection," which will be featured on the Music Aid Awards CD. Frantz Eddy will also receive a presentation Gold Disc from The Music Aid Organization for his work. In 2007 he received a special mention from the same organization for being a finalist for the second year in a row.

The BEST COMPOSITION AWARD WINNER is Frantz Eddy Daniel, a composer from Haiti. "There were many excellent entries in the Best Composition category but Frantz Eddy was voted the overall winner. 2006 WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS OF PERFORMING ARTS.
In August 2006, five members of F.E.D AND FRIENDS represented Haiti at the 2006 World Championships of Performing Arts in Hollywood California. We won 2 gold medals and 2 industry awards in the categories Instumental Original works and Instrumental Open. In 2007 FED AND FRIENDS will be defending their world champions title in The categories instrumental original works and instrumental open. This time we will also be competing in the categories instrumental jazz, instrumental contemporary, and instrumental classical. Help spread the word!!!
