Federal City Five was a four-piece all female rock project based in Washington DC from 2004-2006.
The band was formed in September of 2004, featuring Tina Plottel on lead vocals and guitar, Carmen Vasquez (formerly of Richmond's The Rams and Ultra Bait) on guitar and backing vocals, Coburn Dukehart on drums and backing vocals, and Elaine Clark on bass guitar and backing vocals. Elaine parted ways with the band in August of 2005, and the band recruited the talented Ginger Richards on bass guitar (former guitarist of The Pin Downs from Denver).
Federal City Five offers an eclectic mix of catchy pop and driving rock tunes immersed in mellifluous vocal harmonies.

what is a rock project? Is that where you and your friend Milhouse go out to the beach to collect some rocks, then take them back and stick them in his new rock tumbler to get them all nice and shiney?
Thanks guys! I don't know what kind of dance you did yesterday, but it worked. We'll keep an eye on the weather for your show next week and return the favor if needed. Although, I may have to outsource the dancing and/or voodoo- both skill sets are kinda rusty.
At our last show with you ladies, I overheard you doing vocal harmonies to warm up. It was truly amazing. I had to double check I wasn't hearing the jukebox outside in the bar area.
