Feel the Music! brings music and inspiration to children, families and adults impacted by trauma, loss or illness. We partner with local communities to bring the highest quality music instruction and performance experience to people who are often isolated by circumstance, with limited access to the joys and benefits of music education.
Founded with the belief that active participation in music and the arts enhances quality of life and general well-being for all, Feel the Music! recognizes that music-making creates community, engages all ages and stimulates creative self-expression.
A 501c3 nonprofit organization, Feel the Music! offers music and art programs for children, youth and adults, concerts, recording opportunities, music mentoring, teacher training programs, an online resource guide and opportunities for international exchange.
Feel the Music! started in 2005, offering free music workshops and events to children, teens and families affected by September 11th. The songs posted here were written in Feel the Music! Songwriting and Jazz Workshops, and were recorded through support from the Red Cross Recovery Grants Program and the ASCAP Foundation.
