Hmmm, about me...
I don't suppose there is really that much to tell. My parents arrived in the United States well before I was born. Something to do with my father's job, initially, though as I understand it that didn't last long. Instead of returning home my father found a better position with a different company, so they elected to stay here in the US, became naturalized citizens, and settled in St. Louis. I know that sounds sketchy at best, but it all just comes from what they have told me, which isn't much. And, as I didn't come into their lives until a few years later I've no direct experience with it. I guess I should note that my parents can be somewhat reserved, and truth is, I have never been able to shake the feeling that there are things about their pasts that they've kept from my brother and me. Not like they were spies or anything outrageous like that, but family things. You know, rifts, schisms, tragedies, that sort of thing...However, I suppose that is just "laundry" that needn't be aired here. ;)
Whatever it is they've kept hidden, I can only assume that any wounds it may have caused were somewhat healed, because it didn't keep us all from spending time with relatives in the land of my parents birth, Ireland. Some of my fondest memories from childhood reside there. In fact, it seems as though I spent almost as much time on the Emerald Isle as I did here in the US. When it came time for me to go to college there was no question in my mind where I wanted to be, so I attended University in Dublin while staying with cousins there. I will admit, there are times when I do miss it terribly. I haven't been back for several years and I have been feeling a pull in my heart to return.
I should go on, though. So, even being born here in the US, since I spent so much time abroad, it seems my voice holds a bit of an accent, or so I'm told. I really don't think that it does, but my husband, Rowan, says so, and he seems to like it, so who am I to complain? :)
What else? Let's see, I am an eclectic Wiccan with some ties to BTW. I study various paths, and my favorite Pagan author is Dorothy Morrison. I love her spellbooks, and often use them when presenting classes to my small coven. My husband is an eclectic Pagan as well. More or less Wiccan, but he doesn't subscribe to a particular tradition at all.
There's really not much else to say. I am a freelance photographer, and I'm very good at what I do. I make a good living from it, although sometimes it means I have to travel. That can be fun, but at other times it can be hard. I don't like being away from Rowan, our cats, and our dogs though. They are almost like our children.
I suppose if I come up with anything else I will add it here, but for now I think that's about it. If you have a question feel free to message me. I'll get to it when I can.
Bright Blessings to you all!
