Raised on music of the 70's, Felonious started off burning her ballet shoes and buying a red glitter drum set. She quickly started a Sly and the Family Stone cover band, while she sang at the drums and hired her old ballerina friends to do funky dancing and background vocals donning red, white & blue satin cheerleading hot pants. Her front singer was a bluesman from
Mississippi, who was much appreciated for his harmonica solos through a Vox tremelo amp. After a couple of gigs of him showing up 5 minutes before showtime, she decided to front the band herself and called the group "The Suffer Jets".
Going through a brief singer-songwriter stage, she decided that novelty stores and vintage clothes could be mined for a new persona, so she gave up her acoustic guitar and bought a flying-V.
After a self-imposed exile from pop music (she worked for a short time as an assistant for a taxidermist, but couldn't take the smell of dead animals anymore), she rented a one-room basement with a 4 track cassette portastudio she bought on e-bay - and felonious fig was born.
