Can it be coincidence when someone makes music that fits in perfectly with his favorite hobby - science fiction? And not just any kind of science fiction - it has to be Captain Kirk and his successors, for only here on "Starship Enterprise" and in its universe the grown-up childish heart can unfold. The musician Bernd Felsberger discovered his own universe within this universe, where he takes his listeners. It's an invitation to dream, to take off, to fly into other worlds. Long before the space sound of the Voyager title theme he gave many Star Trek fans an idea of how much emotion can be found beyond the "final frontier": joy, sadness, excitement and losing oneself in space and time. In 1993 he took the plunge into this other dimension. With his debut CD he fulfilled his long-standing dream, and the CD edition of "STATION TO STATION", which has long since become unavailable, presented the local scene of Graz with an interesting newcomer. The Band "Strange Phenomena" founded soon after accompanied him for two years until the tragic death of bassplayer Christian Mandl, who lost his life in a car accident. After the breakup of the band Bernd continued in the spirit of years past: With "STATION TO THE NEXT GENERATION", which was published as a very small edition, he found the connection between Star Trek and his music. The elements already point in the direction he took from then on - a varied combination of classic guitar and high-tech space sound that, however, never becomes soulless! With a unique style and a voice that carries you away into dreaming he fascinates not only trekkies. In 1996 the Austrian's third album "WELCOME TO MY UNIVERSE" appeared, an epic work that continues the Felsberger tradition. In fan circles Bernd Felsberger has been well-known for a long time. With numerous live performances during various Star Trek conventions as well as radio broadcasts and live appearances Bernd Felsberger has inspired listeners of all ages and preferences. Hardly anybody is left untouched by the emotional music. Fans find familiar characters in many songs. A successful symbiosis between inspirations from Star Trek episodes and new creations is the special distinguishing mark. It is not necessary to have watched the episodes to take part in the moods and stories - Bernd Felsberger concentrates all that in acoustic images in space and time. In 1998 Bernd Felsberger's soundtrack "BORG WAR 3 ATLANTIS" to the third part of the Borg War Trilogy appeared, helping to turn this German fan production into a definite success. On the CD "STRANGE PHENOMENA" Bernd Felsberger combines the past and the future into a single entity and takes us on a journey in our mind's eye through visions and thoughts - a journey that entices to listen and discover. Here's my recommendation: Put on your headphones and ENGAGE!!!!!In 2003 the latest release,”INSIDE OUT” made a step ahead and back at the same time. Apart from science fiction, like his debut “station to station” the new album consists of 12 wonderful tracks about personal emotions and experience of bernd felsberger. The best album so far of the austrian songwriter and artist.
