They have destroyed our temples, they have burned our books, they have burned our bodies, they have buried us alive, but more than this, they have tried to create a world that makes us irrelevant or so bizarre in the eyes of the masses that we are unable to be seen for what we are. Imagine Jesus the Christ (I am not religious) floating down from the clouds in his promised return - imagine how fucking weird that looks against the plastic castles and poison pools of this world. Would it be broadcast on CNN? All of the "system" is designed to trap the prophets and angels like the sticky threads of a spider web. They have not succeeded. We are more powerful. In the 1970's in the city of New York, an anointed culture resistant to their usual weapons emerged. The holy tribe of Hip hop was born. This ultra modern movement created a bridge between the ancient world and ours. Hip hop gives a context for the resurrection of the old medicine people, ways and warriors. California’s Best Female Rap Artist	May 16 2008 12:09 AM "She Got It" Mixtape vol. 1 All Female singers, rappers, and poets in California, PLEASE READ! I am trying to get as many females from California as I can to come together and collaborate on one mixtape. To give them all a chance to be heard. The girls may have poetry and music they never got to let people hear or new music they want people to hear. This will give them a big opportunity. The Demo's are due to sgimusic@yahoo.com before May 19,2008 which is the demo deadline. The music is all going to be recorded at 17 Hertz studio in Hayward, California for Bay Area artist. If you live in LA or San Diego send through email to sgimusic@yahoo.com the final music from the artist should be in before June 21, 2008 NO EXCEPTIONS! The project will drop on July 4, 2008 NO EXCEPTIONS! It's all about California Baby! On this one. So if you are in a different state sorry but maybe next time. All I need for a good project is Money, dedicated woman, and hardworking patience and I believe this mixtape will go far. Rules: You must sell all CDs at 10.00$, Follow all deadlines, attend meetings, if you want a featured artist it has to be on the second song you pay for the first is just you. That's it! If you are an artist here is a breakdown of what you will expect to be on the project, The cost is 250.00$ even, and that includes A song on the mixtape with your name and city, a photo shoot, a T-shirt with your name on the front and "She Got it" on the Back with the She Got it MySpace Page and the date of the mixtape, your first stack of CDs which is 5 CDs you can sell at 10.00$ on your own to make your own money, promotion on the MySpace page and local promotion, Your recording at 17 Hertz (or local studio near you), radio and magazine recognition.
