I love classic movies, chick flicks, a good action film, all kinds of sci-fi, and I'll watch a horror film if you make me. My all time favorites that I will watch anytime are The American President (if only real President's were that honorable), Connie and Carla (who doesn't love drag queens), Tank Girl (cause sometimes a girl just has to kick a little ass), Serenity (no explanation needed), Cold Mountain (just a great movie), Eurotrip ('scusi...'scusi), The Princess Bride (inconceivable), and The Village. I loved The Fountain for all it's beautiful imagery. I have also become very enamored with the romantic martial arts movies such as Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, House of Flying Daggers, and Hero.

Grey's Anatomy, Ugley Betty, Men in Trees, Pushing Daisies, Desperate Housewives, Eureka, Doctor Who, Psych, Torchwood.
Books
Sci-Fi / Fantasy. Some of the best books I've read are Seabiscuit, the Second Son trilogy by Jennifer Fallon, the Valdemar series by Mercedes Lackey, and the Dragonriders of Pern series by Anne McAffrey. I've also come to like Trudi Canavan.

About me: Okay...so I'm just this girl, ya know. I was born in a very rural part of central Virginia, the heart of the Blue Ridge mountains. During my teens, my mother managed a very large sheep and cattle farm. The stories I could tell you! Some are funny, some are sad, and some are just plain horrifying. My dad was an insulation contractor so I also spent a lot of time around construction. I was a total band geek in both high school and college. I attended James Madison University and walked away from there with a Bachelor's in Geography (no...I don't know all the state's capitals!). I made maps for the State of Maryland for a while. That's when I got introduced to the Maryland Renaissance Festival and I was hooked. I worked the Festival for 12 years and had some of the best times of my life. There's just something about the sound of bagpipes, the smell of food on a stick, the taste of a cold cider, and the sight men in kilts that gets a girl's heart racing. It's just a feast for the senses. I can't wait to explore the Texas faires.
Well...I've started a new chapter in my life. I've decided that I needed some life changes, so I moved to Austin, Texas to study Oriental Medicine. I LOVE it! It's really hard and exhausting, but I love the people and the attitude. So that's me...studying hard, and playing when I can.
