Arcee is the only female Autobot to appear on a regular basis. She was created in an effort by the film's producers to expand the market audience to include girls as well as to appear less sexist.
Arcee is one of the most upgraded of all Transformers, appearing in more than a
dozen Transformers Cartoon and Comic Series combined, each having several different unique designs, and surviving previous generations and making it to newer Transformers versions. She is one of few who has experienced working for both factions, changing sides, working as a spy and as a strategic warrior, and at some point, even betraying those who trust her. Arcee is skilled, swift, precise, intelligent and cunning.
Arcee has the most romantic attachments of any Transformers character: Hot Rod in the G1 movie, Marvel Comics and Dreamwave continuity, Springer after the G1 movie, Chromedome in Headmasters, and in Devil's Due continuity where she had a mutual attraction to Bumblebee and was devastated when he was killed. And then there is the weird affection shown toward Daniel in The Rebirth, Part 3, but most fans don't read too much into it. In the Beast Wars Chronicles, Arcee's counterpart, Blackarachnia fell for Silverbolt and caused her to change sides.

Toys, Transformers (2007)

Arcee (Scout, 2007)
Arcee is a redeco of Energon Arcee, replacing her pinks, most of her whites and blacks with blue, and her translucent red with smoky brown plastic. She transforms into a 'superbike'-type racing motorcycle.
Arcee (Deluxe, 2007)
Deluxe Arcee transforms into a purple 2006 Buell Firebolt XB12R motorcycle, genericised to get around licensing issues. Maintaining the high standard of vehicle mode realism of the movie line, Arcee is perhaps the most realistic motorcycle Transformer released yet. As an off-screen design (though she originally was going to be an on-screen character), Arcee has references tampographed on her vehicle mode, such as her motorcycle's model name "RC 1100", and her number plate (from the state of Massachusetts) marked TF7407, the original release date of the movie.
Arcee Black Version (Deluxe, 2007)
She's decoed in black to match the motorcycle Lennox rides near the end of the film.

The Battle of Tyger Pax
Arcee makes an appearance in the prequel comics as part of Bumblebee's team, although she had no part in the movie, the writers felt they didn't have the time to explain robot gender. Arcee was one of a handful of Autobots under the command of Bumblebee who desperately fought against Megatron's vast army at Tyger Pax. She was captured and interrogated by the Decepticons but survived the ordeal. She recounted to their Autobot rescuers Bumblebee's heroics in delaying Megatron, preventing Megatron from intercepting the wormhole-bound All Spark.
Transformers: The Official Movie Prequel revealed that in the battle of Tyger Pax, Megatron's forces attacked searching for the Allspark. Bumblebee's squad, which included Arcee, attempt to hold off the Decepticons, but are eventually overwhelmed. They are captured and tortured by Swindle, with Megatron intervening personally to torture Bumblebee for information. However, they refuse to speak long enough for Prime's secret plan to take effect - launching the Allspark into outer space. Megatron attempts to pursue it, but Bumblebee stops him. An enraged Megatron rips Bumblebee's arms off and crushes his voice capacitor, promising to seize the Allspark for himself eventually. Bumblebee recovers and is repaired, although his voice is damaged beyond repair. Bumblebee then volunteered to head into space to stop Megatron from acquiring it. Eventually arriving on Mars in his protoform mode, Bumblebee then proceeded to Earth in 2003, his arrival tracked by the Hubble space telescope. Upon landing in New York City, Bumblebee assumes the form of a beat-up Chevrolet Camaro, all the while avoiding the agents of the government organization known as Sector 7, who refer to him as NBE-2 (or Non-Biological Extraterrestrial 2). Bumblebee then downloaded information on Captain Witwicky. Arriving at the asylum where he had once been incarcerated, he found it was now a dilapidated ruin. Damaged by a pursuing Barricade, he then found emissions of something like the Allspark - unaware he was heading into Sector 7's trap. However, their plan to capture him was thwarted when Starscream, Barricade and Blackout arrived. As the Decepticons shot Sector 7's trap to pieces, Bumblebee escaped, pursued by Barricade. He escaped - unaware the Decepticons had let him go so that they could follow him and see what he knew about the Allspark. He is last seen in the series heading for Tranquility, Nevada - home of Captain Witwicky's descendant Sam.

Female Cybertronians are particularly rare, and in the four million years that Optimus Prime and his crew were absent from Cybertron, they were perceived to have become extinct. However, this was not the case - a small band of the warriors, waged a guerilla war against Shockwave, stealing Energon out from under his unwitting 'nose'. However, in the Earth year 1985, the existence of the Female Autobots was revealed. There exists a list that documents the main Female Autobots from the Transformers universes, including Arcee, the first of the Female Gender project created by Jhiaxus (an evil genius), and the first species of its kind, also the leader, of the Omnicons, a rare breed that can harvest energon and yield it into weapons.
Arcee was an early test subject of the mad genius Jhiaxus, after he decided to introduce gender into the Transformers just to see the results. Her fundamental CNA was altered, giving her a "maddening maelstrom of contradictory sensory input" and causing all other Transformers to sense a fundamental difference about her and inadvertently use feminine pronouns around her, something that she loathes. It also gave her feminine attributes for some unknown reason.
The existence of Transformer genetic material is mentioned and seen when Perceptor and others are analyzing the Swarm. They note that its genetic material and cellular structure are identical to that of the Transformers species. Out of malevolent curiosity, Jhiaxus altered the CNA of Arcee to introduce gender to the species. That's not going to come back to haunt him, no siree
She didn't meet Jhiaxus' standards and was dumped, considered "defected". Dangerously unstable and driven by an implacable homing instinct towards her creator's experiments, Arcee cut a mech-fluid swath of carnage across several planets in her obsession with destroying everything Jhiaxus created. She was eventually taken down by Tyrest Accord enforcer Ultra Magnus and incarcerated on the Autobot penitentiary on Garrus-9.
Her spark was kept separate from her body within the penitentiary, as were those of all prisoners. In this limbo, she found a kind of peace. Unfortunately, when the Decepticons attacked to seize the new inmate Monstructor (another Jhiaxus experiment), warden Fortress Maximus freed her as a last resort to stop the attack. She was able to carve her way through the invaders, but not before they left with their target. She headed off to intercept them, with Jetfire convincing Maximus to allow this. Arcee apparently knows of the Expansion and Jhiaxus's part in it.
Human Allies and Companions
Daniel Witwicky, Transformers Generation 1
Arcee was devastated upon the death of her loyal friend, Daniel. The event transformed her character into a stereotypical one.
Misha and Kicker, Transformers Energon
There is one other Omnicon body-type, that of the unique Omnicon general, Arcee (Ariel). Transforming into a motorcycle and wielding an Energon
crossbow, she arrived in the middle of Megatron's attack on Cybertron, guiding the Omnicon forces into subduing Unicron's hunger. She was soon
frequently partnered with Kicker on the battlefield.
Kicker
He has a sixth sense that can sense where are the Energons and when there is danger ahead. His father created a special body armor for him. His
fighting skill is extraordinary.
Kicker is a fictional character, a human teenager who works with the Autobots in the Transformers: Energon (called Transformers: Superlink in Japan)
cartoon and comic book series. There was a Kicker action figure produced in the Transformers: Energon toy line, which came with a larger version of
the Mini-Con High Wire who turned into a motorcycle Kicker could ride. He is the main reason why Energon became infamous series among audience.
He is a stereotypical teenager who kicks his friend Ironhide even if he has done something great. His human friend and love interest is a girl called
Misha.
The son of Doctor Brian and Miranada Jones, Chad "Kicker" Jones was taken to Cybertron by his father when he was still a young child in the early days of the alliance between Earth and the Transformers. Terrified of the robots, Kicker fled, but wound up stumbling into the chamber of Primus, the sentient energy core of Cybertron, who bestowed upon him the ability and the power to sense Energon. Kicker was subsequently used - a little too
offhandedly - by Doctor Jones to locate Energon deposits, leading the boy to bear a grudge against his father, and against the Transformers. When the Terrorcon attacks on Earth began, Kicker insisted that he be allowed to fight alongside the Autobots, and was given a battlesuit to protect him
by his father. Unsure of what to do with the boy, Optimus Prime partnered him with Ironhide - something that neither of the two was happy about at
first, but eventually, they became close friends. Kicker also developed a close bond with Alpha Q when he met the alien and brokered the truce
between him and the Autobots - when Alpha Q recreated the worlds destroyed by Unicron, he fashioned a world of grass and plains, based on an
image of Kicker's childhood taken from his memory. Also, a mutual attraction exists between Kicker and Misha. His real name, Chad Jones, was only
ever revealed in the comic books, and never mentioned in the cartoon.
Misha
As lab assistant to Doctor Brian Jones, Misha (initially called "Mika" in the dub) was the first to conceive of using Energon as a weapon. She acted as
a science officer on board the Miranda II, and, together with Arcee, won the Autobots' race tournament on Circuit Planet. Arcee is just rolling right
past the opponents and Arcee wins. The masked driver on Arcee's back took off her helmet and it's Misha! So Misha and Arcee won the race. There
is a mututal attraction between Misha and Kicker.
Sam Witwicky, Transformers Movie
Though originally set to play the role of Spike, Sam (played by Shia Lebeouf) befriends Arcee and works with the guardian, Bumblebee, to defeat
Megatron and the troop led by Starscream.
Mikaela Banes, Transformers Movie
It is believed that Arcee will play the role of Mikaela's guardian, opposite Bumblebee as Sam's constant companion.
Captain Lennox, Transformers Movie
The black motorcycle Capt. Lennox used to defeat Blackout was said to be the representation of Arcee who was originally set to battle Blackout, but
was later removed from the script due to fan conflict.
Transformers male characters who helped shape Arcee's personality:
Optimus Prime (They did admit Elita 1's design was taken from Arcee)
A natural leader!
Hot Rod
(The great Leader who was lost into it)
Springer
(The friendly. Too friendly when Hot Rod was drifting away)
Grimlock
(Him Grimlock adore Arcee.)
Ironhide
(The Trainor who replaced the Apprentice, 2007 Movie Prequel. He trained Arcee, his
Apprentice, in the Art of Battle.)
Silverbolt
(The light in Blackarachnia's darkest hour. The Maximal when she was a Predacon,
who later encouraged her to switch sides.)
Bumblebee
(Transformers meet G.I. Joe Comic Series. Had a crush on Arcee. Made it to earth
(2007 Movie Prequel) after Arcee did, and allowed Arcee to work for his team.)
Daniel Witwicky
(It was unclear but this young lad was falling for his Guardian Robot. His death
caused Arcee to turn into a Rogue and later joined the Decepticons, Beast Machines Saga)
Dreadwing
Arcee's Guardian
