Two monks were washing their bowls in the river when they noticed a scorpion that was drowning. One monk immediately scooped it up and set it upon the bank. In the process he was stung. He went back to washing his bowl and again the scorpion fell in. The monk saved the scorpion and was again stung. Theother other monk asked him, "Friend, why do you continue to save the scorpion when you know its nature is to sting?" The monk replied,"Because, to save it is my nature." -- a zen saying. This is to me tis he mark of a superhero. He saves without fear of his/her pain and without the expectation of glory or reward and does good anyways.

Every one who reads this let me tell you "STEEL" is so much more than his "Larger than Life" persona. I see him almost everyday and he adds such a unique dynamic twist to the daily rhetoric of LIFE here in smoggy Hollywood, Ca - BAKER

FOR THOSE WHO MISSED THIS LAST YEAR!

Twas the night before Christmas when all throught the land. Not an insurgant was stirring not even Taliban.
Their A.I.G.s were planted on the roads with care, in hopes American G.I.s would soon drive by there.
Osama Bin Laden was snug in his cot, having visions of his next terrorist plot.
And Marines in their cammies and I in my rack, were pondering our next brutal attack.
When out from the East there arose such a clatter, we sprang from our hooch to see what was the matter.
Away to my weapon I flew like a whip,
Set it on full auto and loaded a fresh clip.
When what to my wondering eyes should appear, STEEL CHAMBERS had come to deliver raw fear.
With a couple of blades and a cannon of mass, we knew in a moment it was time to kick ass.
More direct than a Drill Instructor his words boldly came, he yelled and shouted and called us by name.
"Now Marine! Now sailor! Now Flyboy! Now Grunt!"
"Come join me up at the enemies front."
"To the forward edge of the battle area we go, I'll promise to you an ass kickin show!"
As dry leaves that before the wild hurricane fly, so will STEELE'S enemies as they capture his eye.
Out to the desert he took us to do, only one thing I'm sure he only knew.
And then in a crunch I heard from his paws, he loaded that howitzer that laid down his laws.
"I think in my head..."he said with a deep frown, "It's time for all terrorists in this world to go down!"
STEEL was dressed for combat from his head to his foot, and his weapons were tarnished from combat and soot.
A bundle of grenades he flung on his back, and he looked like a bad ass all ripped, cut and stacked.
Onward we went and the closer we got, I could see his fists tighten as our guts turned in knots.
"You all wait here now." he said very stern, as the skin on my body started to burn.
Out of the darkness he left us alone, to battle our enemies deep in the
