.. ...... ........saxophonist/composer..; born in Dorsten nearby ..Essen/Ruhr/Germany.. in 1960; started to play recorder at the age of 6; 1967 moved to the south of Germany nearby Heidelberg; 1972 - 1976 lessons in clarinet; since 1976 saxophone; 1978 moved to Kassel to study first "something respectably" i.e. landscape-planning and where he made his diploma in 1984; 1985 studied saxophone at Frankfurter Musikwerkstatt; private lessons and workshops by Matthias Schubert, Pierre Paquette, Herb Geller, Jörg Kaufmann, Rolf Rasch, Wolfgang Engstfeld, Gunter Hampel, Peter Kowald; since 1978 different projects from pop to free, from duo to bigbands; since the early 80ies teacher for saxophone, first in Kassel and Göttingen, now in Essen; 1990 prize winner in the catagories saxophone (W.
