Ferox Canorus is a phrase derived from Latin. Ferox: meaning spirited, courageous, warlike / wild; and canorus: meaning full of harmony. It quite literally translates to wild and harmonious. This phrase is the perfect description of the band's music: a melodic, spirited and energetic affair. Ferox Canorus boasts soaring, melodic vocals; a powerful twin guitar assault; and melodic, atmospheric keyboard passages. Round out the sonic assault with a crushing rhythm section containing strong, cutting bass lines and some of the best drumming in metal today and you've got one killer recipe. This intense combination will fill you with a rush of excitement and leave you wanting more. Ferox Canorus plays unlike any other band on the scene today: strong musicianship is paired with catchy, fist-in-the-air melodies, powerful riffs and jaw dropping solos. It is never dumbed down and never overindulgent: a combination rarely found in many of today's other bands. On the surface the band's music might seem your typical power metal affair: telling the story of medieval warfare, of strife, oppression and never letting go of hope; of one day seeing a hero rise and looking forward to a time of peace. However, when one delves more deeply in the lyrical content themes that reflect everday life can be found. Introspective themes, from dealing with the loss of a loved one to embracing life and loving to be alive can be found. There is something here for everyone. If you like good music that doesn't compromise and doesn't hold back... look no further than Ferox Canorus.

Ferox Canorus

FEROX CANORUS
Ferox Canorus is a phrase derived from Latin. Ferox: meaning spirited, courageous, warlike / wild; and canorus: meaning full of harmony. It quite literally translates to wild and harmonious. This phrase is the perfect description of the band's music: a melodic, spirited and energetic affair. Ferox Canorus boasts soaring, melodic vocals courtesy of dual vocalists; a powerful guitar assault; and melodic, atmospheric keyboard passages. Round out the sonic assault with a crushing rhythm section containing strong, cutting bass lines and some of the best drumming in metal today and you've got one killer recipe. The band combines an old school metal vibe with modern styling and sensibility.
