Ferox Records is the label of producer and DJ Russ Gabriel. Running since 1993, Ferox took an immediate stance at the forefront of U.K. techno. After a long break, 2007 sees the return of Ferox with new music arriving after the summer.
Russ's Too Funk project gets things underway again followed by music from new signings "Idioma" and the "Nouveau Detroit Orchestra". Dublin's Dave Anderson releases an EP at the start of 2008.
Starting with Paul Hannah's "Superfly" Ferox will be doing a series of download only EPs available from Beatport
The back-catalogue is already starting to be uploaded and will be made available over the coming months. This includes the following:
The Adventures in Techno Soul compilations featured original material and remixes from the likes of Carl Craig, Mark Broom, Claude Young, Derrick Carter, Moodyman and others. These now sought-after releases started a new era in which the label released eight albums and 35 EPs up to 2001, including music from Cristian Vogel, John Tejada, Aubrey and many others.
