About Ferris Wheel (free EP at http://drop.io/goodytwos)
EVERYONE'S A CRITIC:
"Despite being entirely self-produced and mixed by Moschetto, [Goody Twos] boasts an extremely professional sound and a tight roster of diverse tunes. From the electronics-laced pop of 'Paper Cranes' to the elegant post-rock flavored instrumental 'The All-Time Train Dodge' and the rousing sing-along ballad 'Lay Down,' it's guaranteed to hold the attention of even the most jaded (and possibly ironic) indie enthusiasts." Ben Shanbrom, The Heights
"Makes you want to simultaneously dance and cry, and admit it, that's about the best feeling in the world." Courtney Allessio, Turtle Boat
"As I fumble to write songs of my own, these guys have it down to a science...Goody Twos is one of the best debut records that I have ever heard." Dan Broderick
"Makes me anxious for spring, sunshine and driving with the windows down." Matt Jordan, You Ain't No Picasso
"Hailing from Massachusetts, Ferris Wheel's 'Lay Down' reminds you that Spring is just around the corner and to frolic through the sunny rays or do a manly strut through tall grass on a breezy day. Whatever you choose to do, this song will make everything feel perfect." Burton Guster, Hypetrak
"...a Boston-based, every-possible-genre band (mainly indie pop/folk rock) that appeals to almost everyone. Not yet have we encountered someone who doesn't like dey style. Yea, dey style. Their style, if you will." The Saturday Morning Hangover, WERW
"...Ferris Wheel also call themselves 'elegant.' There does not seem to be a more accurate description for the brand of melodic and beautiful pop-rock they have created. Their debut EP, Goody Twos, is the perfect soundtrack for a spring evening." Chrisanne Grise, Em Magazine
"Ferris Wheel has only been together for a year, but their elegant indie pop sounds just as polished as bands who have been playing for 3 times as long. 'Paper Cranes' combines cello, guitar, drums, trumpet, bass and boy/girl vocals to form a breezy pop tune reminiscent of Fleet Foxes or Broken Social Scene." Bethany Leavey, OurStage
"I think [Goody Twos] is outstanding. It's like if Guster had a baby with Jenny Lewis. Wonderful." Peter Frasca, drop.io
"Ferris Wheel is like a musical craft project composed of blue construction paper guitars and glittery handclaps over peppy drumbeats. Add some cello, trumpet, violin and piano; you have a project embellished with musical sophistication that is rarely found in young local talent these days. Nick Rossi, NECC Observer
"On the almost-gospel 'Lay Down,' singer Justine Bowe’s crystalline voice coats the song like treacle, while mercurial arrangements take listeners from dusty strumming to a grandiose chorus of soaring voices, stomping feet, clapping hands and shimmering tambourines." Kate B., OurStage
well i want to write songs that i guess are kind of silly, and i feel like a banjo would be an appropriate instrument to accompany my little tangents. im not particulary gifted in the signing department, but i feel like it would be good for me. you should play banjo with me. i started writing a song that i like very much.
september baseball just turned into my favorite song. if theres ever an open slot on one of your shows, let me know i would love to play with you guys -Michael
