DJ FEUERHAKE BIOGRAPHY
The name Feuerhake in German means Fire-Hook, and this is enough to create all sorts of associations: Fire represents emotions, passion and heat, and fiery it is when the DJ and Producer Stefan Feuerhake - alias DJ Feuerhake spins the decks.
He is one of Hamburg’s most popular DJ..s, and plays an energetic, eclectic set of electronic dance music. With many genres and styles, it is hard to define, but his set includes progressive trance with melodic, sometimes tribal, electro and house with break-beat elements and groovy rhythms. He refuses to be constricted by sticking to a certain music format, and his relentless crossover of styles has been an inspiration to many other artists and DJ’s worldwide.
“My music is intended to fascinate the audience and pull them into its spell. By being in contact with the people and creating tension arches, I step by step gain the trust of the crowd. This enables me to go on a musical journey of an unusual nature with them. In my sets I do not limit myself to any particular style but combine many varied musical directions with each other.“
He is happy playing at both small Trance or Techno parties with 100 guests to the large festivals with over 10.000 people, like the legendary Boom Festival in Portugal, or the Lovefield Festival and Fusion Festival in Germany. He has touched people all over the globe with his scene-crossing styles of music, and his performances have taken him to not just to most of Europe, but to over twenty countries around the world, including Mexico, Thailand, Israel and Switzerland. He is a resident at the Hamburger club “Atisha”, one of Germany’s famous trance-clubs, and he has organised numerous events in Germany.
In 2001 DJ Feuerhake was awarded a special honour by the readers of Mushroom Magazine, the world’s largest Psy-trance Magazine. They voted him DJ of the year. His friendly and modest way has remained with him regardless of his success and he is always warmly welcomed around the world.
