I heard this song for the first time during a video presentation at the 2008 Augie's Quest Bash. At the August 28 Lincoln Park Zoo's Jammin' At The Zoo (Chicago, IL), John performed Augie Nieto...named after a very inspirational friend! And, John also rocks the house...or rather, the zoo...with his rendition of Elton John's Rocket Man! (9/1/09)

FIVE FOR FIGHTING QUESTION OF THE WEEK

Five For Fighting videos have been filmed at interesting locations...some not far from Los Angeles...and the most recent was no exception. We now know the photo shoot for the Slice album was at Club Ed near Lancaster, CA, but where was the Chances music video shot?

The Chances music video was shot at Singing Springs, a filming location at the Angeles National Forest just outside Los Angeles, CA. The photo above is known as The Barn, and you can see John standing in the doorway of the same building. Unfortunately, the film location is no more. It was destroyed in the Station fire of August 2009. The video was the last project completed at this site.

With such a busy schedule, sometimes it's hard for John to find time to relax. But, when he does, you'll often find him in front of the television, watching his favorite sports teams. On the other hand, when John isn't watching the Lakers, Kings and his beloved Bruins, what is his favorite TV show?

On November 9, John performed at Z99.5's Jingle Jam in Indianapolis, IN. He shared the stage with Barenaked Ladies and All-American Rejects...two bands he's been associated with in the past. Name the movie that featured both Five For Fighting and BNL songs. And, what concert did John appear at with AAR that took place in a neon-happy city?

In 2006, John and All-American Rejects appeared on CD USA's America's Party Live New Year's Eve show in Las Vegas, NV. And, in 2005, Barenaked Ladies performed their song One Little Slip for the Disney animated film Chicken Little. We all know John sang his rendition of All I Know for the same movie. The motion picture The Blind Side is a big hit at the box office and great exposure for John, whose song Chances plays in the end credits. But, it's not the first time a Five For Fighting tune has appeared in a sports movie. Can you name the song and the film?

John's song The Best was featured in the 2006 animated Disney movie Everyone's Hero. The first half of the song played toward the beginning of the movie, and the rest of the song played about midway through. Hopefully, there will be many, many more Five For Fighting songs in future films!
