Growth in housing's Blurbs |
About me:
In the fall of 2006, a group of five classmates of an Integrated Core Seminar class at Florida Gulf Coast University (FGCU) were faced with the assignment of presenting an issue that pertains to the students of FGCU and present it in such a way that future generations would be able to access their information; in other words they were to create a presentation that would essentially be a one-stop-shop way to answer questions about the issues at hand. The group, consisting of Jen Jernigan, Katie Johnson, Levi Pan (yes that’s his real name), Lyndsey Barna, and Andrea Voss – all of whom lived in on-campus FGCU housing at one point in their academic career – decided to research the history as well as the future of on-campus at FGCU housing.
The group realized early on that there was a lot of information regarding their issue, but the information was not compiled in an easily-accessible manner. Therefore, the group took it upon themselves to not only present their information to their class but also through a media that would reach a larger audience – MySpace.
The following links are of the various topics covered in the group’s presentation.

Who I'd like to meet:
Many of the staff in North Lake Village are more than happy to assist students with questions and concerns. We used many resources from the director of housing, Dr. Pam Schreiber, to the FGCU historian, Dr. Joseph Ravelli. Included, as a blog, is a list of names and contact information for housing staff.
