2007 - I took the first official Cycling 74 max/msp lecture in San fracnisco. To my surprise the instructor claimed he was giving 'private tech support' to sean booth of autechre for some of Autechre's max/msp patches. Later that day the teacher passed around a USB thumb drive with instruction patches on. I found an odd file somewhere on the drive we weren't supposed to look, a patch labeled 'AE_Fun' . Connecting two and two together in my head my first plan of action was to open this patch. Upon loading it i immediately realized it was the foundation for at least 1 of the songs off Confield , and probably used during most of the songs on their 2001 world tour. Being the child that i am i posted the patch online for anybody to download. more information and download of AE patch here
2005 - Released a fake version of the Autechre album "Untilted" on soulseek and various file sharing networks. The hoax album spread so successfully that Sean Booth was asked about it in an interview..............

2004 - Released a fake beheading video starring my friend Ben (the great white hype) on internet file sharing networks as a response to how the Nick Berg video looked fake. The mainstream media was so inept that they found the video online and subsequently touted it as an actual american soldier being beheaded on video. This caused the entire world media network (AP, reuters, Al jazeera, Harratz, CBS, ABC, fox news, CNN) to spread the story. Once they finally (4 hours later) decided to call Ben (who clearly says his real name & address in the video) they realized Ben was still alive and it was all a hoax. The media tried to shift the blame away from themselves onto us and for the next 2 days they tried to destroy our image. 1999 - After being on the COIL mailing list for quite some time Ben and I decided to shake things up and break through the pretentious attitude of the people on it.
We created a freestyle rap parody of COIL using only samples from the album Scatology.
After its release, the album quickly sparked contraversy. World Serpent records reacted by banning the IP address of Record Label Records. Coil were humiliated by the tracks "exhibit a", and "exhibit b" on the album which proved beyond a shadow of a doubt that they sampled Dr. Dre, a claim which they had previously vehemently denied. listen to coil rap parody here
