Please Become a Friend of the Humane Society of Tijuana ("HSTJ") in their efforts to rid the poorest neighborhoods of Tijuana of disease, infestation and the uncontrolled breeding of dogs and cats.

Friends of HSTJ is an all volunteer organization and gets no financial support from the government. We are an American Non-profit (pending) Corporation, based out of San Diego, California. All members, including the board of directors, receive no monetary or other types of compensation. Without volunteers, HSTJ could not function.

Our volunteers share a common bond of love and respect for animals. We are few in number but get spectacular results.

Clinics are held monthly to spay and neuter stray dogs and loved pets in the poorest neighborhoods of Tijuana - many animals are infested with ticks, fleas and mange.
HSTJ treats as many animals as they can for these debilitating illnesses in an attempt to allow for a better life for these dear animals as well as help the community through education and assistance.
Our efforts also surround the fostering of healthy strays and assistance in caring for those fosters.

Our volunteers work to spare an animal from misery and give it a chance for a life free of hunger, illness, pain, fear and countless pregnancies and litters.

Here is what your donation can do!

** 2 dollars (20 pesos) can feed a large dog for a week!

** 50 dollars (500 pesos) is our average cost to treat and care for a "hard core" rescue.

** 20 dollars (200 pesos) helps us treat and place the average rescue in a new home.
We need you help to fund a free spay and neuter clinic for the people in the poorest areas of the city.

** 15 dollars (150 pesos) will pay for the materials and drugs to spay a cat or dog and save countless pups and kittens from being tossed into the streets where they will live in hunger, pain and fear.
We need your help to cure the diseases of our rescued animals.

** 30 dollars (300 pesos) will cure most cases of severe mange so a dog can be placed in a new home.
We need your help to feed the animals.

** 12 dollars (120 pesos) buys enough dry kitten or puppy replacement milk to hand feed a small litter for a week.

Every dollar/peso counts! No donation is too small to make a difference!

Our goals are to effect the prevention of maltreatment of animals and promotion of animal health and for soliciting improvements at the dog pound through collaborative efforts.
