    B-movies, horror, sci-fi and anything weird. I love the old horror movies with Boris Karloff, Bela Lugosi, Lon Chaney Jnr. Boris was always my favourite and always will be. I like all the old stuff with Jimmy Stewart, Bette Davis, Gregory Peck, Ingrid Bergman, etc... Favourite directors include Alfred Hitchcock, John Waters, Tim Burton, Sam Mendes and Quentin Tarantino.

    I love Dean Koontz, he really knows how to draw you in and get you hooked. Charles Dickens' books are as relevant today as they were in his time, he's an amazing storyteller. I love factual and informative books, fictional and fantasy books, psychology, politics, feminism, veganism, health and biographies. I hate celebrities who write their life story and they're still in their twenties ... life story? Okay if you had a particularly strange, difficult or weird childhood then fair enough but, life story at twenty-five? Really? WTF? ..

Spinning the savage 45's will be Nick Smith & Tom Lawrie plus friends sleazy video projections all night. The Maze (Forest Tavern), Mansfield Rd, Nottingham 10.30 - 3am £3 Sat. 28th Nov next night will be December 11th with Louie & The Louie's + Hipbone Slim & The Knee Tremblers LIVE on stage - killer frat/surf and rockabilly party from a great band comprising Sir Bald Diddley and Ex Milkshakes/Headcoates man Bruce Brand.

    The Rubber Room presents a Night of Crazed, Derranged, Psychotic and downright Degenerate Halloween Spookiness.

    We will be dressing the room up and projecting vintage monster edits through the night as well as spinning some of the strangest and most disturbed 45s in our collections. Alongside the usual mix of blues stompers, rockabilly, sixties garage and frat, surf instros and rock'n'roll.
