Markus (DJ & Produzent) und Max (Songwriter, aka max Min) lernten sich bei einer Aktion gegen Sweatshops kennen und beschlossen, ihre Spraydosen gegen Synthesizer zu tauschen, ihre Slogans in Songtexte zu transformieren und das Ganze mit einer Portion Ironie und Selbstkritik zu paaren. Dabei kreierten sie das Genre des Risco - einen Mix aus Rock und Disco. Live spielen Fiago ihre Songs entweder rein akustisch (Gitarre, Bass, Schlagzeug) oder als elektronisches Set - sanfte Unterhaltung oder Adrenalin für ein sich zu Tode feierndes Publikum am Abgrund des Konsumwahnsinns.
"sun, tits and a hammer" ist das Debut von Fiago. Ihre Songs versuchen einen Mittelweg zwischen DJ- und Songwriting-Kultur zu finden: beat-lastige Tracks mit ausgeprägtem Hang zur Melodie und kritischen Texten, sowohl auf deutsch als auf englisch.
