About me:

be sorted @ nimbo.net I've been traveling the world for the past few years after university, and I've learned not to smuggle drugs into Norway, how to speak Swedish and Danish, how to avoid creepy drug dealers in Amsterdam, how to throw-down in Sydney, how to avoid Lord of the Rings tourist traps in New Zealand, and how to cohabitate with Germans. I used to be into "mind expansion" in the psychedelic sense of the word, but (cliche warning) I've learned you can understand and retain a lot more without drugs than with them. Not to mention that I've seen what certain drugs have done to very close friends of mine. So what have I been doing with myself, you ask? I've been writing a book (more like taking extensive notes on my travels/experiences), drawing pictures, painting, and of late, getting settled into my new Colorado flat.
I just moved to Northern Colorado with my husband, Sam, and I've got to say... it's really 90's here. Yesterday I was coming home from work and listening to the radio where they were having a call-in phone contest to win Barenaked Ladies tickets :/ It's OK though because as far as I am concerned, this decade totally fucking blows: the popular music has zero integrity, the popular culture is literally sick with thousands of girls starving themselves trying to look like Nicole Richie, our economy blows right now for white-collar jobs, our foreign policy in the middle east is a total disaster, and basically the world's a lot more fucked up in the USA now than it was in the 90's so I'll take it.
In university I double majored in studio art and psychology, with minors in political science & sociology. I'm unsure about my future, there are so many things I want to do. I'm planning next on attending graduate school in Colorado (masters in Clinical Psychology), and pursue a PhD in Psych and eventually practice Art Therapy. I keep changing my mind, I guess it's part of my mid-20's crisis.

intrigues: painting, drawing, intermedia sculpture, reading, writing, music, circular conversations, traveling through cities and nature alike, tarot, esoteric and highly irrelevant literature, basketball, hiking, and generally embracing the whole "chance to be alive" thing. I'm also a vegetarian interested in environmental politics and green living, but I don't allow it to dominate my life.
