FiberOnline is a digital platform resource that became the first virtual community focused in the brazilian electronic production, covering many genres and subgenres from house music, electro, techno and downtempo to the more alternative and vanguard styles like industrial, experimental and ambient.
The site – which is daily updated - showcases the independent production and hosts thousands of songs from the protagonists of the electronic music in Brazil – old and new. Downloads of the tracks are free.
Apart from the free tracks, its content is published through news, interviews and reviews from different releases (including software and hardware, albums, technology and entertainment). The producers have their work commented and distinguished at the home of the site and through FiberOnline..s own radio - which includes nine different dials with dozens of electronic productions, from a variety of styles.
Eneas Neto - a multimedia journalist who raised FiberOnline - was also the founder of independent cult label Cri du Chat, presented the seminal Zensor radio show (on air from 1990 till 1994, at 97 FM) and has spread the electronic news through other media vehicles, including magazines and newspapers as Bizz, AudioNews, SomTrês, Folha de S. Paulo, O Estado de S. Paulo, among others.
Nowadays, he is the responsible for the Machina Festival, Silver Tape and the production of Trash 80..s parties (that became an establishment of the 80..s kitsch music in the country), besides being the man in front of the multimidia agency Fiber Interactive.
