terylene is a jazz duet from Portugal, comprising Francisco Ferro on lead vocals and Rui Correia on guitar and backing vocals. The band started off in May 2007 with a clear-cut goal: bringing some aged musical masterpieces to life and putting them back on the road. These songs inspired Ferro and Rui to expand this early, basic idea to a more articulate musical project, which they named terylene.

The repertoire predominantly includes songs from the 40s and the 50s. Their romantic and nostalgic musical catalogue pays tribute to some of the most acclaimed vocal jazz composers and favours an intentionally narrow range of musical styles.
Nevertheless, the main artistic purpose of terylene is, thus, to assemble a consistent array of stunning, timeless songs, most of which have been, regretfully, absent from the radio's playlists for too many years.
