Influences
An Original Rock/Reggae Brew
Since their debut LP dropped in early 2007, Fiction 20 Down has been steadily unearthing a loyal grassroots following and amassing critical acclaim with their “inspired outlook on music and undeniable talent” -theumbilicalchord.com. SublimeStylee.com called Fiction 20 Down's debut - Down n' Out + Up n' Rising - "one of those precious albums where all twelve tracks must be listened to before putting the CD away!".
Upon the release of the band's 2008 follow-up album "Welcome to the Grassroots" - IndieMusicReview.net's Gary Levinson called the album "a delightful, upbeat, soothing rock fusion mix, with elements of R&B, reggae, and pure rock... one of my favorite’s albums of late". Susie Mudd of Music Monthly said simply of the new record, “I love it” and music website "Glimmer of Whimsy" blogged of the new album: “Welcome to the Grassroots is a pleasure to listen to… [it's] addictive.”
And what of the F20D live show experience? Ryan McKeldin of BranchOutMusic.com writes, "If you want to see a great live band, Fiction 20 Down is where it's at."
Jordan Lally's impassioned vocals and reggae rhythm guitar, Ben Metzger's soulful, blues-infused lead guitar, DJ Fritzges's groove-inducing bass lines and Mike Marx-Gibbon's impeccable drum work have come together to forge an original rock/reggae brew that’s simply “good enough to be true!” (Sam Sessa- Baltimore Sun/ WTMD 89.7FM).
F20D invite all music lovers to join their grassroots following...* Check out the band live while they rock college campuses, music festivals and nationally renowned live music venues up and down the east coast! Be sure to catch them on the airwaves of XM SatelliteRadio, regional radio and in wide rotation throughout mid-atlantic and northeast college radio from WUOG in Athens, GA up through WBNY in Bufffalo, NY.
On stage, in studio and on the airwaves, Fiction 20 Down has an energy and vibe that cannot quite be put into words… but fans of rock, reggae and acoustic music all agree- Fiction 20 Down have something brewing!
*The band welcomes those eager to join "the grassroots" to download some FREE F20D MUSIC at www.f20d.com.

Hey thanx for the friend request, love your music. I had planned on going to the rams head live show so I can't wait to see ya guys play and I'll def. be there when you guys play at Deer park it's only 15 min. away from where I live.
Happy Holidays to you. Be well. I've read that the holidays can be very depressing to some. If you know someone like that, share this with them :)
1 of the most effective "natural cures" ever documented (really) 4 depression...
Have them stand in front of a mirror...smile...bigger...no, even bigger...that's it...an honest to goodness ear 2 ear smile! Look at you...standing there...strong...powerful...nothing is impossible for you...no limitations...you are the earth...you are the sky...and they are you...now, laugh...bigger...one of those gut bursting, side hurting, deep belly laughs...that's it. :)
all good here thanks. Have a whole new backing band since I saw you last in Philly. Matisyahu's ex-bass player Jason Fraticelli and his band The Wet Dreams are backing me and we'll be touring down to SXSW in March. Setting up shows all the way down to FLA and over to TX and back. Would love to connect with you guys again somewhere for some shows if possible. Lots of venues along the way. Keep it flowing!
