Fiddle player/violinist with a wide range of expertise in a variety of ethnic/international music (including Mexican, Scandinavian, Balkan, Greek, Middle Eastern, Klezmer/Eastern European Jewish, Hungarian, Romanian, etc...) and other types of fiddle music. Once named one of Austin's ten best string players by the Austin Chronicle, I've accompanied many singer-songwriters, played in rock bands, and done a lot of theater and movie music (and want to do a lot more.) While on tour in France with one of these former bands, I was a featured solo performer at Les Nuits Atypiques Music Festival in Langon, France. I also co-arranged and performed the 2-1/2 hour live music accompaniment for the Douglas Fairbanks movie 'The Thief of Bagdad' with Austin-based band ,1001 Nights Orchestra, at both the Alamo Drafthouse and the Paramount Theater. I've been playing the violin since the age of six and have studied with some of the best fiddle players in the world including Mark O'Connor, Matt Glaser, Liz Carroll, Alicia Svigals, Bruce Sagan, Sebastian Campesi, and others. I currently also occupy much of my time teaching violin/fiddle to adult beginners at my home studio in Austin, Tx.
