It all started over a decade ago when Kris Toney (2-Tone) and Paul Bond (Hed-Toc) were teens. The two childhood friends were mostly known for their talent on the basketball court, but the two were also rappers. Together they were known as Prophecy. By the mid 90's came along another rapper in Greenfield named Taylor Hogle (Cas Metah). Taylor was a little younger than the duo, but had the determination to take things to the next level. Some cheap recording equipment was purchased and demo after demo was made. Taylor's best friend Brad Binegar (Deuce Complex) started making some noise with his flow, while two firecrackers, then known as Basic Knotch, also joined the squad. This was Arthur Ayler (Ruffian) and 2-Tone's younger brother Kreshawn Chapman (Shaw Bihl). Next came the freestyle phenom Jordan Evans (J. Spitz), who is also Hed-Toc's nephew. That makes up the core history of the Verbal Massacre movement. As time passed, more friends and family members have unveiled their talents on track after track, proving that the Field Specialists are a one of a kind find. Bottom line: You won't find such a deep click with such a knack for making hits anywhere else. All we are really missing is the budget to get it out there, but once that is in place, look out.
