The Short Films of Victor Juliet
THE BASEMENT
In an old building, down a flight of steps, something that was hidden will be found and awoken.
THE BASEMENT was originaly shot in 1996 as a prologue to a feature length project.
In 2006, Victor Juliet shot additional footage, re-edited the short, and cut a trailer.
When asked why THE BASEMENT was shot in black & white Victor Juliet commented.
"Color enhances the set, the scenery, the costumes, but mysteriously enough it only detracts from the actors."

Television
HEWITT FILMS was founded in 2005 when Brian Hewitt produced a series of comedy skits which became popular in the Central New York area.
After establishing himself as a comedic actor Brian wanted to demonstrate his range as an actor, so he began producing the Crime/Drama series RISE UP & FALL for Time/Warner Cable Television.
The series and upcoming feature film tell the story of a man fed up with a meager exstance as a poorly paid corporate employee, who is befriended by Mike (DJ AEYST), a drug dealing gangster, who promises him a life of money, power, and respect if he joins his crime sydicate.
RISE UP & FALL is a gritty dramatic portrait of a man's turmoil in life and the sacrifices he makes to obtain success.
Writer-Director Brian Hewitt and Assist. Director Carl Barber are both natives of Syracuse, New York.
